If you pause a movie and study that frame, you’ll find there is so much to learn and appreciate in that one frame. the subject, composition, highlights & shadows focusing your eyes on what the director intended. You’ll be able to soak in so much information in one frame. A photograph is just that.

A still photo lets you breathe and let everything sink in rather than chasing constantly moving frames.

So it's true! A picture is truly worth a 1000 words. The beauty of a photo is the creator does not have full control over how it’s perceived. A photo allows multiple perspectives and different narratives. This might be based on who is viewing the photo, what life stage you are in, and the state of mind. 

On the other hand movie or a video hardly allows multiple perspectives for the reader. The viewer doesn’t have time to think l, because you’re constantly catching up with the moving frames.

Every medium of story telling has its own place, and to me still photo is the medium I can enjoy the most as a viewer and a creator.
